The Uncollected Being of Taetum Sinclair

Formally introduced to the world in two thousand and four, Taetum Sinclair is an emerging designer inspired by nature’s inherent trait of persistence.

Immigrating from her home country of South Africa to the southernmost part of the United States in her formative years, she began her career in dramatic invention early on and, though immigration can be noted as fundamental aspect of her person, she does not accredit it as being the primary reason for her work. Sinclair intends to evoke emotion through her work, not only to offer her viewers a deeper sense of humanity, but to aid them in understanding themselves as inherently created things.

Jester of many a craft, Sinclair has poured her efforts into fields such as fashion design, painting, sketching, modeling, styling, pattern making, costume design, and writing, among other feats. The results of these practices can be found in her Collected Works.

From an early age Sinclair found the art of clothing design to be a particularly inviting point of solace from the busyness of life around her and, after much work establishing herself in the design community, she released her first collection, The Earth Remembers its Place No More, in the F/W 24 season.
